Meet our new paraplanner, Casey Goodwin

Consumer demand for sustainable options has never been greater. More and more individuals are re-assessing how their pensions and investments behave – and we’re committed to being there for every single one of them, to help them make the sustainable switch. With that in mind, we’re thrilled to have recently welcomed passionate Brighton-based paraplanner, Casey Goodwin, to our growing team at  Path Financial.

At the age of just 28, Casey already has eight years of experience in the financial advisory sector – five of which she spent with a London and Brighton-based financial planning company. In this time, she also achieved her Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS).

Speaking about her new role with us, Casey said:

It all started when I read an interview with David, the founder of Path Financial. My story really resonated with his – we both enjoyed our previous work but felt this underlying, undeniable sense of guilt when advising clients to move their money to funds based on ROI alone.

From that point on, I knew I’d found the company I wanted to work with. I wanted to be leading at the forefront of financial change, not feeling sheepish about my contribution to the problem.

In her role with us, Casey will be providing the residents of Brighton and Hove with information, support and advice around what kinds of industries their pensions, savings or investments are propping up – and helping them to move their money to causes that better reflect their values.

Referencing how she has been inspired by the sustainable motivations of the area, especially with Brighton Pavilion being the only constituency in the UK represented by a member of parliament from the Green Party, Casey added:

I know the people of Brighton and Hove to be a considered and thoughtful group of people, who care about what they do, how they act, and the impact they have on our precious world. That’s why I’m confident that they will come forward and say, ‘how can I help?’, in the same way that I did.

Casey is also keen to encourage more women to pursue a career in financial advice and improve the gender balance within the sector, sharing:

I want girls to see my appointment and believe that their gender will not hold them back from pursuing the career they want. Companies like Path Financial are making conscious efforts every day to fight this gender imbalance, and I’m proud to be an example of this.

Only a few months into the role, Casey is already impressing us with her commitment and enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to see how her contributions will help us to reach more people in the city of Brighton and how her activism will have a real impact on the world.

The people who work with Path Financial share the same vision and values to help create a fairer, better world and – if that is you – then email our team at jobs@thepath.co.uk or check out our current offerings.
